All I ever really wanted was one thing: a home that truly feels clean. That of all things cleaning would one day become my biggest problem, I never would have guessed.
I have allergies. Many cleaning products irritated my skin. Redness, burning or dry hands were almost part of the routine. Occasionally even headaches and breathing problems came on top. That is why I almost always wore gloves when cleaning, sometimes even a mask.
Honestly, I found that absurd. There you are in your own home, barely daring to touch the cleaning products with your bare skin. Still, for years I thought: that is just how cleaning is. It simply comes with the territory.
Until I experienced a demonstration with hot micro steam for the first time. I was honestly surprised.

The technology
We hear that a lot. At first glance many steam cleaners work alike: they heat water and produce steam. What matters is how that steam is made. That is exactly where micro steam parts ways with an ordinary machine from the hardware store.
Thermostar and MediCleanTec heat water under high pressure to around 180 °C. The result is a particularly hot, fine and low-moisture steam. Unlike many conventional steam cleaners, far less residual moisture is left on the surface. Cleaned areas dry faster and are often usable again right away.
The fine steam molecules reach deep into pores, grout, textiles and hard-to-access spots, while the heat dissolves grease and dirt. In many applications, plain tap water is therefore enough, with no cleaning products at all.
Concretely: The micro steam contains only about 5 to 8 percent water, conventional steam cleaners up to 40 percent. That is exactly why cleaned surfaces dry so quickly.
