Guide
Skin flakes, sweat and house dust mites collect on the mattress. You can't put it in the washing machine. Hot micro steam cleans it with pure heat, entirely without chemicals on the very surface you lie on every night. This page shows step by step how it works.

Hot micro steam cleans the mattress with heat alone, without chemicals on the sleeping surface. It reduces germs and lowers the house dust mite allergen, for longer than vacuuming alone (proven: Vojta 2001).
House dust mites live in mattresses and upholstery. Their droppings contain proteins that act as an allergen and can trigger symptoms. On top of that come sweat and skin flakes every night, soaking deep into the fabric.
A mattress can't simply be put in the washing machine. And chemical mattress sprays leave residues exactly where you lie for hours every day. Substances from cleaning agents are considered contact allergens. [Source: DermNet]
Vacuuming removes surface dust, but only reaches the allergen in the fabric to a limited extent. This is where hot steam comes in.
They live deep in the fabric; their droppings contain allergens and often stay behind when vacuuming.
Night after night they soak into the upper layers. You can't wash the mattress.
The mattress fits in no machine. Sprays leave residues on the sleeping surface.
In the device, tap water is heated under pressure to around 180 °C. The fine, hot steam penetrates the upper layers of the mattress. The heat reduces germs and acts on house dust mites and their allergen. [Source: Vojta 2001]
Because the steam contains very little water, the mattress stays only slightly damp and dries quickly. You can soon put fresh linen on it again. How the heat works in detail is explained in the micro steam overview.
No spray, no cleaner. One device, the right attachment, hot steam.
Three ways to a clean mattress. The difference lies in the working principle and in what stays behind.
| Hot micro steam | Chemical spray | Vacuum only | |
|---|---|---|---|
| How it works | Heat in the fabric | Chemicals on the surface | vacuums surface dust |
| Mite allergen | lowered, evidenced (Vojta) | barely evidenced | surface only |
| Germs through heat | reduced through heat | no heat | no heat |
| Residues on the sleeping surface | none, just water | chemical film possible | none |
| Residual moisture and drying | low, dries quickly | damp depending on amount | none |
| Also for upholstery, car, grout joints | yes, the same device | no | limited |

Frequently asked questions
The hot steam lowers the house dust mite allergen in the fabric; this is evidenced (Vojta 2001). The heat also reduces germs. This is not a promise of a cure, but many allergy sufferers find a cleaned mattress noticeably more pleasant.
No. The micro steam contains very little water, the mattress stays only slightly damp. Thanks to the low residual moisture it dries quickly before you put fresh linen on again.
Once or twice a year is enough for most households. With allergies, pets in the bed or after an illness, feel free to do it more often.
The heat loosens many stains and works odours out of the fabric. On stubborn spots you let the steam take effect briefly and steam once more.
No. For the mattress, hot steam from pure tap water is enough. The heat does the work, and no chemical film stays behind on the sleeping surface.
With the same device you can also clean upholstery, the vehicle interior and grout joints. At the free demonstration we show it on your own mattress.
